Spring 2023 brings a new chapter to TDMA…now including Wellness and Primary Care. Jamie Decker is a Doctorly prepared, Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with 13 years of experience in medicine spanning from acute care inpatient medicine, to outpatient urgent care, aesthetics, and now primary care services. She graduated from Montana Tech in Butte with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011, and from Montana State University in 2017 with her DNP. She continues to spend many days a year perusing further education and broadening her knowledge base to provide up to date, safe care for her patients. Education is very important to TDMA in order to provided the best care to our patients. TDMA is expanding services to our Butte community due to a lack of primary care providers in the surrounding areas.
Our primary care services will be provided to a limited number of patients and is something known as direct primary care (DPC). This means that you are one of only 200 patients with access to these services. This creates more accessibility to your provider, and less need to be seen in an urgent care setting.
What does this look like for you?
If you are a patient at our practice we will always strive to see you within a couple of days for urgent matters, and same day if needed. Have you been forced to wait days or weeks to hear from your provider, or get a refill on your medications? As our patient you will have access to a HIPAA compliant texting service for appointments as well as concerns. This is checked often with a quick response time from our staff.
Why direct primary care?
Direct primary care (DPC) is a version of healthcare that eliminates the middleman, your insurance company. We will not be billing insurance, yes you heard that right! Many insurance companies as well as Medicaid and Medicare have started to dictate the care you can receive behind closed doors. These companies often tell us (providers) what you (the patient) can or cannot have when it comes to imaging, medications, labs etc. regardless of the reasoning behind your visit. Additionally these companies often won’t pay for more than one visit per year to your primary care provider.
DPC alleviates most of that issue as we will never send you a bill for services. Each month you will be billed on a direct ACH payment for your services. You can come to the clinic to be seen as often as you like. Yes, as often as you like, as this is included in your monthly fee. Think of it as a gym membership for your healthcare. Payments can be structured through your healthcare savings account (HSA/FSA) or checking account. Your visit can also be submitted by you to your insurance if you so choose.
